Until next time!
I want to make a comment about something Michelle McCoy mentioned. She echoed something I’ve heard from one client after another: “I’ve called so many therapists and none of them have returned my calls.” I scratched my head about this, knowing how competitive therapists in my town can be when it comes to referrals.
What I’ve experienced, however, is something different. When I return prospective client phone calls – so many times they do not have voicemail set up, AND may not recognize the phone number if it’s a call made through a site such as Psychology Today. So I found that my hands were completely tied when it comes to returning some clients’ inquiries.
My point is: we have a tech-human-connection problem here.
It needs a good tech solution!
Great points, Roberta! Thanks for sharing!
