Our Design Intake Process
When you’re building a new website, it’s important to have something that both attracts new clients, while simultaneously speaking to the aesthetic of your practice and the brand you’re building. This is a delicate balance, and sometimes it can be hard to put words to the exact vision you have in mind.
After building websites for over 5,000 private practices, we’ve learned how important it is that the website’s look and feel closely match your business and your ideas. That is where our new design intake process steps in to act as your personal design consultant.
What Makes It So Great?
You’ll begin by answering a few general questions about your business, such as your practice’s name, business location, services, and any other general information that can give our designers a better understanding of your practice. From there, you will then get the chance to visualize different design elements, including layouts, colors, fonts, and photos, so you can really start to see your brand come to life.
Design (or Upload) Your Logo
You’ll have the opportunity to create your own logo with our logo design tool, which allows you to skip the outside designer by guiding you through the process of creating and customizing a specialized logo in a matter of minutes.
However, if you already have an existing logo, you can choose to upload it to the platform and use it instead.
Design Your Page Layout
It is important to note that this process isn’t building you a website in real-time, but is giving our designers a more in-depth idea of your ideal website so that they can then personalize it to fit your every need afterward. This process acts as a design consultant and is just a visual jumping-off point to help our designers better understand your vision. However, they will still work with a professional development team to fine-tune this design until it is perfect.
You will have the freedom to preview a homepage with different layout options for your logo, header, hero image, main layout, map section, and footer.
You then have the opportunity to go even further and view different options for your primary slides, banner images, banner styles, and contact buttons. You can select, view, and play around to create your ideal combination of all these elements.
✷ Hot Tip: If you get stuck on what a specific section is, or need help identifying different elements, the question mark icons are designed to help further direct you. Simply click on one of these icons to view more detailed information.
Choose Your Photos
We understand that choosing the right photo is essential to creating the website of your dreams, but with so many options, it’s hard to narrow down what types of photos you like and what kinds of photos you don’t like. With this section, you can go through a library of thousands of pictures and search for images that fit your ideal webpage feel.
These photos can be swapped out and further cropped or customized during the design process after you complete the design intake process. However, it will give you a chance to play around with the images beforehand to get a general idea of what it will look like and give you a better idea of what types of images you would like to see on your pages.
Choose Your Colors & Font
Finally, you have the freedom to choose a color pallet and font that fits your vision. You will have the opportunity to preview a wide variety of our pre-created color palettes as well as a custom recommended palette that’s created for you to match your logo or your main homepage image.
You will also be able to preview and test several different font options. If you did choose to design a logo earlier in the process, your font would be pre-selected to match the font you chose for your logo.
What Happens Next?
It is important to remember that completing the design intake did not actually build your website in real-time. Rather, it is meant to give you and our designers a more in-depth idea of how you envision your brand.
After you have completed the design intake process, your results will automatically get sent to one of our professional in-house design teams so that they can begin developing the first draft of your new website.
