The Brighter Vision Wildfire Reforestation Project
Here at Brighter Vision, we know how lucky we are to see the majestic Rockies when we look out our office window. But the truth is, we’re all fortunate to have such a remarkable collection of National Parks and Forests across our entire country, and whether you can see yours from your office window or not, we’re all connected to our forests in one way or another.
Sadly, this year more than ever before, our forests have been devastated by wildfires. At the time this campaign was created, California had lost 660,000 acres to fires this year (that’s about the size of Rhode Island), and Colorado’s Pine Gulch Fire had claimed 125,000 acres making it the second-largest in the state’s history.
After hearing these staggering statistics, the Brighter Vision team saw that it was our responsibility to take ownership of what’s going on around us, and got to work brainstorming ideas as to what we could do as a values-driven company to play our role in helping preserve and restore our environment. How can we commit our resources as a company? How can we use our own skills and determination as a company to help?
At Brighter Vision, we have always focused on making a positive impact in our community. We strive every day to set our clients up for success so that they can spend more time where it’s most important; positively impacting their clients’ lives. But we know that we can’t stop there – making a positive impact goes far beyond just supporting our own clients.
One of our core values is taking ownership. We strongly believe that nothing is “someone else’s problem” and we strive to empower everyone to do the right thing for our product, our company, our customers, and our ecosystem. As an organization, that’s where Brighter Vision feels we can do our part best. So, we came up with a plan to give back to our National Forests that we are very excited to share with you.
The Brighter Vision Wildfire Reforestation Project
For every website sold during the month of October, a team of Brighter Vision employees has agreed to donate their own time to plant one new tree (courtesy of Brighter Vision) in either Colorado or California.
** When you sign up for a new website this month, you will also be able to choose the state in which you’d like your tree to be planted.
This project aims to restore forests where 2020 fires have destroyed over 175,000 acres of trees in these two beautiful states.
Why Trees?
Planting trees supports wildlife recovery, improves the quality of our air and water, and so much more. By planting trees, we’re investing in healthy forests for today and for many future generations to come.
Which Trees?
The trees we’ve chosen to plant are those that are native to each area, also taking into consideration which species has seen the most considerable losses in 2020.
Colorado Trees
California Trees
By the end of this month, with your help, we are hoping to plant hundreds of new trees and do our part to help restore the affected forests in Colorado and California. We are so excited about this campaign, and the month ahead.
